    For basic printing functionality use the &lt;a

    as printer status and maintenance features, use the

    This printer only works &quot;Perfectly&quot; in the PCL mode
    (ljet3/ljet3d GhostScript drivers).&lt;p&gt;

    Same as a IIIP, just with a postscript cartridge.&lt;p&gt;

    Under Red Hat &quot;install a printer&quot; and select
    &quot;PostScript&quot; as the printer.&lt;p&gt;

    lpr installs and uses the Gnu Magicfilter by default.&lt;p&gt;

    High quality print.&lt;p&gt;

    Some pdf documents do not translate to a PostScript file that this
    printer can print, even if Level 1 is explicitly selected on the
    xpdf command line.  Same result with Adobe Acroreader.  May be
    related to the age of the PS cartridge (1991).&lt;p&gt;

    The old PS cartdrige cannot handle the output of some recent
    applications.&lt;p&gt;

    Using the ljet3 and ljet3d Ghostscript drivers can speed up
    printing because your PC can do the converting from PS to ljet
    much faster than the PS Cartridge&lt;p&gt;

    In PS mode, input trays can be selected by the following PS
    command: &apos;statusdict /setpapertray known {statusdict begin 0
    setpapertray end} if {} pop&apos; where &apos;0&apos; is the first
    tray, &apos;1&apos; the second.
